for Board & Train Programs
Are Board & Train programs only for puppies?

The Puppy Board & Train program is only for puppies 10-20 weeks old at the start of the program. The Behavior Board & Train program is for adult dogs working through certain behavior concerns.

Will I still need to train my dog after a Board & Train program?
​​​​
Yes. During a Board & Train program, I take care of the time-consuming task of teaching new behaviors so you don't have to start from scratch. You will still need to practice with your puppy or dog to maintain those behaviors at home and to build on them for long-term progress. Training is for life!

How far in advance do you typically book?
​​​​​
I am typically booked up at least a few months in advance, even longer for holidays, summer travel season, and other peak times. Current availability for Board & Train programs and VIP Boarding is shown here.

​​How many dogs do you take at one time?
​​​​​
I only take one dog at a time. This includes dogs from the same household.

What is the minimum number of days required?
​​​​
The minimum number of days for a Puppy Board & Train program is 7 days. The minimum number of days for a Behavior Board & Train program is determined on a case-by-case basis, depending on your behavior goals and training history with me.​​

Are there set times I need to drop-off or pick-up my dog?
​​​​​
When we schedule the Board & Train program, we will agree on the specific drop-off and pick-up times. The earliest drop-off time is typically 8am. The latest pick-up time is typically 5pm to allow time for the transfer session. The total fee reflects both the drop-off day and pick-up day.​
How do I get started?

Behavior Board & Train programs are offered on a case-by-case basis for Behavior Consultation clients. If you are interested in a Behavior Board & Train program, just let me know during one of our sessions. We'll discuss eligibility and scheduling at that time.​

To get started for a Puppy Board & Train program:

Answer thoroughly each of the questions and submit.

I will review your submission thoughtfully and be in touch by email within 3 business days Monday through Friday. You will receive a booking link for the kick-off session where you can view all scheduling availability in real-time. Don't forget to check your spam folder.​​​​

What if I need to cancel or reschedule a Board & Train program?

At the time of booking, a 50% deposit payment is required to secure the specific days you book, and the remainder is due 7 days prior to the start of your program. Once a booking is made, those days are not available to others for Board & Train or VIP Boarding, and my availability for other services is affected as well. If you cancel the booking or wish to reschedule the days, these payments are forfeited. All purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable.​

What if I need to reschedule the kick-off session for Puppy Board & Train?

You may reschedule the kick-off session by notifying me via email at least 5 days before the scheduled appointment. If you notify me with less than 5 days advance notice, or are not present at the scheduled time, the appointment is forfeited. Due to the nature of my boarding services and limited availability for kick-off sessions, a new appointment may not be available for several weeks or months. All purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable.
